These easy-to-make brownies are rich, chocolatey, fudgey and Moorish, yet refined sugar free and so easy to make. Just put everything in a bowl and combine! I can vouch that they are delicious straight from the fridge, but also yum popped in the microwave for 30 seconds with a dollop of crème fraiche.

INGREDIENTS
- 150g almond butter
- 270g apple puree (could use pumpkin or sweet potato)
- 50g cacao
- 100g sugar-free (or 70% cocoa) chocolate chips
- 50g vanilla protein powder
- 2 sachets Nuvia Sweetener
- ¼ tsp salt
- ¼ tsp cinnamon
- 1 egg (optional)
- 50g walnuts, roughly chopped (optional)
METHOD
- 1. Preheat oven to 160C.
- 2. Line an 8 inch pan with parchment and grease with butter or oil.
- 3. Gently warm the almond butter until stir-able and then add all the other ingredients and mix thoroughly.
- 4. Pour the brownie mixture into the prepared pan and bake in the centre of the oven for 20 – 25 minutes until nearly completely set. They will continue to set as the cool and it is quite nice to have a slightly fudgey centre.
- 5. Store in the fridge.
